Islam, as a comprehensive way of life, offers profound ethical, spiritual, and legal foundations that can contribute to shaping a sustainable future. Eco-theology, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of faith, humanity, and the environment, provides a vital framework for rethinking Islamic studies in the context of climate change, environmental degradation, and the pursuit of sustainability.
The International Conference on Islamic Studies (ICIS) 2025 invites scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students to engage in meaningful dialogue on the theme: “Islam, Environment, and Sustainability: An Ecotheological Perspective.” This conference seeks to explore how Islamic thought, education, law, economics, and spirituality can address contemporary environmental challenges and foster a vision of sustainable living for future generations.
